"Coming from a family of immigrants and refugees, I do not have a physician or someone of higher education in my family who I could gain guidance from, however, this conference definitely allowed me to connect with some amazing people that could help guide me through my journey towards a career in medicine." "It was a great pleasure to be able to participate in the conference. I truly enjoyed the opportunity to connect with some of the students there and be of any help in answering their questions about the medical journey. It was especially significant for me because I had been in their shoes not too long ago and would have found it very helpful if I had such an opportunity. "
