YPI currently is operating at four high schools and two universities. YPI leaders engage small groups of 10-15 students at each high school or university through 3-4 sessions per semester. The program starts with the academic year. Meeting monthly with their mentees at the high school or university, volunteers go through an interactive curriculum designed to engage students, introduce them to the application process and equip them with real world medical shadowing experience.
YPI is constructed to make the sessions fun and easy to sustain and participate for YPI leaders.
